Outside of my official job I like to stay busy and explore a number of strong interests of mine. Below are additional interests I have and things I enjoy!  Scroll down to see more.
Entering college, I had zero “real-world” exposure. As a result, I sought advice from more experienced peers/alumni and spent hundreds of hours reading everything I could to try and understand different career paths, my interests/strengths, etc. I felt this self-discovery process was unnecessarily difficult: career-based resources were fragmented by industry and the “intro” level content was filled with jargon. I wanted to address this problem.

I decided to build a one-stop-shop for people to learn about career paths, with jargon free language, called Careersopedia.com. I built everything on the site myself, including the 40+ pages of content, videos, forum, SEO configuration, etc. It was really fun to go through the learning/building process, and I've enjoyed referring people to the site to help their journey!

I've also participated in some angel investing. I enjoy researching and learning about various exciting projects that are being worked on, and when the opportunity arises, I sometimes look to invest and closely follow the growth and development of that company.

I've always been fascinated by the world of second-hand products. I see a huge opportunity in creating a circular economy where goods retain value after the initial purchase. I’ve channeled my obsession with this simple yet “unsolved” problem into (1) angel investing/advisory, (2) strategy consulting at Olive (where I did market research into the consignment industry) & (3) working with Salvage yards at APFusion

After working with Salvage yards, repair shops, extended warranty/insurance co’s, taxi fleets, etc. - I've fallen in love w/ legacy industries that can benefit from tech enablement. There's something beautiful about working w/ businesses & seeing the tangible impact software & world-class service can provide them. If you're an entrepreneur with experience taking a similar approach I'd love to jam & exchange learnings!

My experience has made me a “marketplace guy”. I believe my experience as a trader directly translates to real world marketplaces, and I have seen this first-hand through my experience in the mobility & ride-hail ecosystem, rapid-delivery, auto-parts, online consignment/logistics etc. I am fascinated by how a marketplace has the ability to empower and illuminate the pre-existing value of its participants.

On a more fun note! I am a rather serious poker player. Poker has played huge role in how I think about decision making in my life. Poker teaches you how to be a strong risk manager, the importance of analyzing information to make positive expected value decisions, and not doubting yourself if you get unlucky and things don't go your way! Keep making good decisions and in the long run you will do well.

I played baseball my whole life, and played D1 baseball at Columbia University. I am a huge Yankee fan, and fun fact: was born on the day they won the world series in 1996! Baseball played a large part in forming my work ethic and instilling the importance of confidence in myself. Will always be thankful for the coaches and teammates along the way that played a pivotal role in my character development.
